Gabrielle Saulené (she/her they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, originally from Virginia. Her work explores themes of love, grief, intergenerational trauma, and the complex intersections of identity as a Black woman.

Her current work, “I wish heaven had visiting hours”, reflects the ongoing journey of grief through exploration of what it means to hold on to the memory of loved ones, while grappling with the absence they leave behind. With this project, Gabrielle invites viewers to witness grief not as a solitary, fixed experience, but as a living, breathing force that connects us and informs our lives forever.
